Keynote Symptoms
Breast affections — hard lumps, sharp lancinating pains, skin retraction, tendency to malignancy. Cerebral congestion — heat rushes to head, red face, pulsating. Constipation with hard stool and ineffectual urging. Flushes of heat. Left-sided. Strong sexual excitement.
Mind & Emotional Symptoms
Impatient, easily excited. Fear of bad news. Restless. Disposition to be startled.
General Symptoms
Breast and cerebral congestion. Worse from night, cold damp, coffee, left side. Better from open air, cold bathing.
Physical Symptoms
Head
Cerebral congestion — heat rushes to head. Red face. Throbbing. Apoplexy. Headache worse from motion and cold air.
Face
Red, flushed, pimply. Acne on face and nose. Flushes of heat.
Female Genitalia
Breast tumor — hard, nodular, lancinating pains. Skin retracted over tumor. Cancer of breast (palliative). Left breast more often affected. Axillary glands swollen. Menses too early, profuse.
Rectum
Obstinate constipation. Stool hard, requiring great effort. Ineffectual urging. Diarrhea alternating.

Comparative Materia Medica
Conium has breast induration with ascending paralysis. Phytolacca has breast pain and hardness but with more glandular involvement. Carbo animalis has glandular induration with copper-colored spots.

Red starfish is not toxic to handle. Saponins present but not significantly harmful. Safe in potentised forms.
