Extreme prostration with icy coldness. Intense, deathly nausea not relieved by vomiting. Black vomit (coffee-ground). Cutting pain in stomach. Yellow fever symptoms. Everything sinks down — cannot hold anything up. Bluish, cold face. Horror of solitude and work.
Mind & Emotional Symptoms
Horror of solitude and work. Irritable. Stupor. Anxiety. Unconsciousness. Delirium.
General Symptoms
Extreme prostration and exhaustion. Icy coldness. Symptoms resemble Arsenicum but more intensely prostrated. Black vomit. Everything tends downward — cannot sit up. Cadaverous appearance. Tabetic conditions. Cancer of stomach (palliation).

Intense nausea with violent retching. Black, coffee-ground vomit. Burning and cutting pain. Gastric cancer (palliation). Nausea from putting hands in warm water.
Abdomen
Cutting, lancinating pains. Distension. Tenderness.
Respiratory
Chest constriction. Threatened paralysis of lungs. Difficult breathing.

Yellow. Scaling. Itching of skin worse from warmth.

Constitutional Type
Exhausted, debilitated persons with gastric cancer or severe gastric conditions. Yellow, cadaverous appearance. Persons in end-stage disease with extreme weakness.

Comparative Materia Medica
Compare Arsenicum album (similar prostration and burning but less black vomit), Phosphorus (vomiting when water warms in stomach), Ipecacuanha (constant nausea but less prostration). Cadmium sulph. is more intensely prostrated than Arsenicum with characteristic black vomit.
