Keynote Symptoms

Muscular paralysis — the chief action. Weakness of all voluntary muscles. Cannot hold head up. Respiratory paralysis threatening suffocation. Paralysis ascending from extremities. Diabetes with great muscular weakness. Catalepsy — rigid immobility. Loss of reflex action. Facial paralysis (Bell's palsy).

Mind & Emotional Symptoms

Dull from weakness. Cannot think. Mind clear but body paralyzed.

General Symptoms

Muscular weakness and paralysis. Worse from damp, cold, 2 AM, right side. Better from warmth.

Physical Symptoms

Head

Cannot hold head up — muscles too weak. Headache with weakness.

Face

Bell's palsy. Facial paralysis — cannot close eye, mouth droops.

Respiratory

Paralysis of respiratory muscles — threatening suffocation. Shallow, weak breathing. Must be artificially ventilated.

Extremities
