Centella asiatica (gotu kola) is widely used in Ayurvedic and traditional medicine and is generally safe. Contains triterpenoid saponins (asiaticoside). In rare cases, large doses may cause hepatotoxicity. Mother tincture is well tolerated in normal doses.
