Anal fissure — the keynote. Terrible burning pain as if anus were full of broken glass. Burning persists for hours after stool. Sensation of a red-hot poker or iron in rectum. Extreme constriction and spasm of anus. Protrusion of hemorrhoids with every stool. Pin-worms with burning and itching.
