Keynote Symptoms
Extreme weakness — can hardly talk, drops into a chair from exhaustion, weak from walking across the room. Neuralgia that gradually increases then gradually decreases. Chest complaints with profuse, sweetish, greenish expectoration. Cough excited by laughing, singing, talking. Sensation of great emptiness and hollowness.
Mind & Emotional Symptoms
Sad, despondent, anxious. Feels like crying all the time but crying makes him worse. Discouraged. Dreads seeing people. Great debility of mind and body. Hopeless, does not want to live.
General Symptoms
Extreme weakness, especially from talking, reading aloud, walking. Gradually increasing and decreasing pains. Better from hard pressure, rapid walking (paradoxically). Worse from using the voice, exertion, lying on right side, warm drinks.
Physical Symptoms
Head
Frontal headache, gradually increases and decreases. Heavy, as if it would fall forward. Worse from motion.
Face
Neuralgia — left-sided, gradually increases and decreases. Pale, sunken, earthy complexion.
Throat
Mucus in throat, must constantly hawk.
Stomach
Sensation of emptiness and hollowness. Bitter taste. Nausea from the smell of cooking.
Abdomen
Colic relieved by hard pressure. Sensation of emptiness. Better from bending double.
Respiratory
Cough excited by laughing, talking, singing, reading aloud. Expectoration profuse, thick, sweetish, greenish-yellow. Hoarseness. Weakness of chest so great that cannot talk. Deep, hollow cough.
Chest
Great weakness of chest — feels as if it would sink in. Soreness. Feels hollow and empty. Anchor pain through left chest.
Female Genitalia
Bearing-down sensation. Prolapse — feels as if everything would drop out. Leucorrhea with great weakness.
Extremities
Weakness, heaviness. Paralytic feelings. Trembling. Dropping things.

Worse From
Using voice (talking, singing, laughing), exertion, lying on right side, warm drinks, going upstairs, 10 AM
Constitutional Type
Pale, sallow, exhausted individuals. Chest weak. Women with great bearing-down weakness. Those exhausted by chronic cough.
Clinical Indications
Chronic bronchitis, chest weakness, neuralgia (gradually increasing/decreasing), exhaustion, voice loss, uterine prolapse, debility
Comparative Materia Medica
Phosphorus also has chest weakness but more burning and hemorrhagic tendency. Calcarea carbonica has weakness but is more perspiring and chilly. Platina also has gradual increase/decrease of pains but with more pride and genital sensitivity.
Safety Information
Pulsatilla. Also antidoted by milk.
Metallic tin is essentially non-toxic. Tin salts can cause GI irritation in large doses. Safe in all potencies.
