Ear pain (severe, worsens with tugging earlobe), itching, drainage, decreased hearing, feeling of fullness.
Severe pain, fever, drainage, or symptoms not improving with self-care need medical evaluation. Usually requires prescription drops.
Dry ears after swimming (tilt head, gentle towel), hair dryer on low, avoid cotton swabs, pool ear drops (alcohol-vinegar mix) preventively.
Prevention: alcohol-vinegar drops (rubbing alcohol + white vinegar 50/50) after swimming. Tea Tree oil (diluted, avoid if perforation). Garlic oil drops. ACV dilute. Pain control with NSAIDs. Often needs prescription if established.
