Camphor (30–50%), 1,8-cineole, linalool, alpha-terpineol, safrole-free (white fraction)
Emotional & Psychological
Powerfully stimulating and awakening. Helps with lethargy, apathy, shock, and fainting. Clears the mind and increases alertness. Can be overstimulating — use in moderation.
Physical Therapeutic Uses
Strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory for muscular and joint pain, arthritis, sprains, and bruises. Powerful decongestant. Stimulates circulation. Rubefacient — creates warming sensation on skin. Used in traditional vapour rubs and liniments.
Safety Profile
Contraindications
AVOID with epilepsy — camphor lowers seizure threshold. Avoid in pregnancy, breastfeeding, and children under 6. Avoid with fever in young children. Do NOT use brown or yellow camphor. Avoid with Parkinson disease.
Drug Interactions
May interact with anticonvulsant medications. May lower seizure threshold. May interact with CNS medications.

How to Use This Oil

Common Ways to Use
Diffusion
Add 3-5 drops to a diffuser with water. Run for 30-60 minutes at a time with breaks. Ensure good ventilation.
Topical Application
Dilute to 5% in a carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond, or coconut). Apply to desired area. Always patch test first.
